When Your Relationship Becomes More About Toleration Than Love

When I’m coaching couples, the first thing I ask them is their intention for the time we have together. If both people truly desire to work through whatever issue they’re having, I know we’re going to have a successful outcome. When 2 people want the same thing, it’s rather easy to find the cracks, seal them up, and move forward with a new container for love and expansion.

But this isn’t always the case. Sometimes we have suppressed our pain and hurt so long, we secretly want to hurt our partner more than we want to love them. We want them to suffer, like we have. We try and shame them into submissive position. Even if they apologize, it means very little, until we see action. And even then, we like to remind them of how they have failed us in the past. We withhold our trust, our affection, our time, and even our love until they give us what we want.

Or we may do the complete opposite. We over give our time and generosity, we over compensate our kindness, and we brace ourselves to jump at any moment the other person needs us. We set boundaries we don’t follow through with, we make requests that are dismissed, we accept far less than we desire, and we consider it ‘normal’, while we silently suffer inside.

Whatever stage of relationship you may be in, it always reflects the relationship you have with yourself.

Thankfully, for us to be at peace, the change we desire never lies outside of us, leaving us helpless and hopeless. The required change, lies within us.

Many people fight to be right, or just to express their opinion, rather than find a solution. If one or the other isn’t in a solution based mindset, no form of communication is going to be helpful. In order for a relationship to truly work, both people must want to love each other, love themselves, and want what’s best for the relationship, in order to transform it.

If your partner isn’t willing to meet you in this sacred surrendered place, your partnership, at it’s best, will only result in what you’re willing to compromise and tolerate. The choice is yours, and you always have a choice. The most common reason we avoid our own options, is because we’re afraid of being alone. But, being alone for awhile is far more beneficial, than being with someone who makes you feel alone.

7 Reasons Strong People Tend To Attract Difficult Relationships

1. People who develop mental and emotional strength usually do so because of their childhood experiences. Likewise, it’s common for people to re-create their earliest relationships out of a desire for comfort, rather than love.
The reason so many relationships fail as spectacularly as they do is because what we are fundamentally looking for is not love, but comfort. We seek to re-create the first relationships we knew as they defined intimacy for us. Of course, this is an entirely subconscious function. We think we want our perfect match, really we want what we perceive to be our “missing piece,” the thing withheld in childhood or lost through adolescence. It’s for this reason that many children of alcoholics marry addicts — they seek to fix what they couldn’t in youth.

2. Strong people usually do not find their happiness in anything that comes easily to them.
Strong people find their happiness in perseverance and commitment to something they can work on and grow with. While this seems like a positive mindset to have, it can backfire when it affects how they choose their romantic partners. A relationship only works if you’re willing to commit even when it’s hard, not choose it because it’s hard.

3. Strong people tend to give their strength to what they love.
When strong people fall in love, they almost adopt that person into their own identity, and aren’t quick to realize when they’re giving away their power at the other person’s benefit and their own detriment. Likewise, strong people have a laser focus — the more they are fixated on a difficult relationship, the more it becomes exacerbated.

4. Vulnerability and intimacy can be triggering for people who have had to build their mental and emotional strength from the ground up.
Their strength was built from somewhere, and that place tends to be revisited when a romantic relationship is entered. As soon as someone becomes uncomfortable with exposing their vulnerabilities (which is usually required for intimacy) their ego defenses raise, and it’s easy to sever a connection in favor of remaining comfortable.

5. Strong people tend to dislike being wrong.
Sure, genuine strength is being able to admit your mistakes, but not everybody arrives at that place of true detachment so easily. Inner strength = a solid sense of self, which functions on the basis of believing you are “right” and “good.” Nobody likes to be wrong, but strong people in particular would sometimes rather be right than happy…

6. Strong people are oddly susceptible to sticking in difficult — sometimes abusive — situations for far too long, as they believe that they can change them.
They’re less sensitive to the red flags that other people would perceive as signals to absolutely move on. While this is undoubtedly a strength in some areas of their lives — resilience is something you earn — it is a major downfall if they aren’t able to recognize when a situation is not theirs to fix or wait out.

7. Relationships are mirrors, and growing tools. Sometimes the most difficult relationships teach strong people how to be stronger.
And kinder, and more loving, and happier, and more thoroughly themselves. Sometimes, strong people attract difficult relationships for the sheer reason that they want to be challenged (even if this isn’t the healthiest route to take). If nothing else, strong people are the opposite of complacent.

7 places in Europe you must visit before you die

Rather than our fixed holiday destinations, we bring you some exciting new places to visit. If you are tired of visiting same places over and over again, we give you a quick guide for places to see in Europe. Look past the prototype of London, Rome, Paris and you'll find how beautiful and diverse Europe is!

1. Isle of Skye, Scotland:
Skye is simply stunning and is one of the few places in the United Kingdom that has been left untouched by us humans. It is the largest and northernmost of the major islands in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. With its significant rocks, Skye is straight out of the pages of a fantasy novel.

2. Bibury, England:
On the banks of river Coln, Bibury is a small village in England.  It is a major destination for tourists visiting the traditional rural villages, tea houses and many historic buildings of the Cotswold District. The nineteenth-century artist and craftsman William Morris called Bibury "the most beautiful village in England" when he visited it. The village is known for its honey-colored seventeenth century stone cottages with steeply pitched roofs, which once housed weavers who supplied cloth for fulling at nearby Arlington Mill. It’s the perfect destination for everyone who’d like to have some rest and relaxation, being surrounded by amazing scenery.

3. Alberobello, Italy:
Apart from Rome and Venice, Italy has a huge collection in its bag to attract the tourists. And Alberobello is surely one of them. Alberobello is a small town and comune of the Metropolitan City of Bari, Apulia, southern Italy. It has 10 735 inhabitants and is famous for its unique Trullo buildings. The Trulli of Alberobello has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1996. They are made from limestone rock derived from the plateau of Apulia’s Murge zone.

4. Meteora, Greece:
The word meteora means  "middle of the sky", "suspended in the air" or "in the heavens above" — etymologically related to meteorology. Well, it has its name for a reason. The six architectural marvels are perched high on top of natural sandstone rock pillars. And yes, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

5. Lofoten, Norway:
Lofoten is known for a distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches, and untouched lands. Though lying within the Arctic Circle, the archipelago experiences one of the world's largest elevated temperature anomalies relative to its high latitude. Lofoten is considered part of the Western Gneiss Region of Norway. With its vibrant sea life, Lofoten is everything you can dream of.

6. Kizhi, Russia:
The word enchanting really is dreadfully overused, but this Russian beauty begs exception. Kizhi is by far the most visited of Lake Onega’s 1600-plus islands, thanks to its Transfiguration Church which is tremendous. Open-air museum Kizhi is one of the first in Russia, which started functioning on the island in 1951 and currently contains about 87 wooden constructions. The most famous of them is the Kizhi Pogost, which contains two churches and a bell tower surrounded by a fence. The pogost was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1990.

7. Sintra, Portugal:
Okay, I admit, Sintra is not a very unheard place. Sintra is known for its many 19th-century Romantic architectural monuments, which has resulted in its classification as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Although its heritage in buildings and nature is the most visible face of the historic individuality of Sintra, a whole literary heritage has made the area a legendary reference in Portuguese culture. It has become a major tourist centre, visited by many day-trippers who travel from the capital Lisbon.

I Need From You in a Relationship

Honesty is the best policy. There is no need to lie to me or yourself about the way you’re feeling at any given moment about any given thing. If something is bothering you, let me know so we can work together to fix it. And if you don’t want my help fixing whatever problem is on your mind, let me know that, too. I will gladly step aside if you need your space.

If I’m doing something that upsets or annoys you, ask me to stop. I sometimes struggle with criticism, but I’d rather you tell me the truth than fill up to the brim with emotions and eventually explode when I say I don’t want to see that Zac Efron DJ movie with you.

I won’t hide anything from you regardless of what happens, so you shouldn’t feel like you need to hide anything from me. And if you do feel like you need to hide things, there better be some sort of scavenger hunt going on. Otherwise, you’ll be on a scavenger hunt of your own.

Don’t be insecure about anything. Don’t worry about me judging you based on your words and actions because — chances are — I already have judged you. And if we’re in a relationship of any kind, I probably like you. In other words, I’m not going to pick apart every little thing you say and do, so you should just be yourself.

That being said, don’t talk or act like an idiot. I already know you’re not an idiot because we are in a relationship, so I will hold you to some sort of behavioral standard. Obviously, I cannot control the way you act, but if I like who you are, then be that person. There is no need for you to try to act “cool” in front of friends or strangers, and there will never be a reason for you to pretend.

I will never worry about you “embarrassing” me in front of my family, my friends, or complete strangers, because if that was something I had to worry about, I wouldn’t be in a relationship with you in the first place. And if I understand and like who you really are, the only reason I would have to worry about that sort of thing is if you are trying to be somebody else. That’s what would truly be embarrassing.

I might even tell you I think you are perfect, but don’t be panicked by that statement. If I say it, I mean it. And what I mean is that your “imperfections” are what make you unique, and they are exactly why I like you. Embrace those characteristics because they construct the proverbial you.

7 must have tricks on your travel guide

Traveling is a breath of fresh air in our boring and monotonous life. But traveling can be hectic, and problematic if unplanned. For the newbies, it is a hell load of a problem to complete a tour safely in a completely new place. So here are some tips to make your trips better. In my 15 years of traveling, I have stumbled over these problems and finally learned to solve those. Following these, you can roll with your journey anytime anywhere.

1. Always plan your trip before you start. Learn about where you're going, how much it can cost or what are the must visits in there. And also keep a backup plan. With all my years of traveling, I've realized that things never go as planned. So keep a clear idea of what are the minimal things you want to do in your visit. If your elaborate plans don't work, keep calm and follow plan B.

2. Mix with the locals. It is the only way to get the fullest out of your trip. Commoners are mostly gentle and hospitable. They will welcome you wholeheartedly. And they also take your expenses to a minimum. And also they are simple and will give you the real taste of the place. This is very effective than fancy travel guides with their fixed schedules and high expenses. But you must keep an open mind and not start criticizing their lifestyles.

3. Make an emergency kit consisting of necessary elements of survival. Also keep a copy of your id and passport there. It also should contain a basic phone set with an active sim card. Keep regular medications there like aspirin, Benadryl, metronidazole etc. And also keep bandages and antiseptics in the case of any unpleasant events. If you're into photography, carry an extra battery for your camera also.

4. Keep your friends and family informed. Wherever you're going, make sure there are at least one people who know about your whereabouts. This will help in case of any accidents. Trust me when I say, you are never ready for everything in your trips.

5. Keep a travel insurance ready. Danger won't give notice before coming. A minor accident can create much havoc if it goes unnoticed. And also can make you pay much more than you ever imagined. A travel insurance can help clear your medical expenses in this case.

6. Learn some common phrases in foreign language. Know how to say 'thank you' or 'sorry'. Learn short but necessary inquiries like 'where are this address?' or 'how much does it cost'. It will especially come in handy when you are traveling in the countrysides. And for last resort, keep pen and paper with you so that at least you can draw about your questions.

7. Get an idea about transportations. Try to avoid taxis or rent-a-cars while traveling alone. Rather use the public transport services. They are safer and gives you a rough idea of the place. Try to take free walking tours. It will give you a free orientation of the city you are in.

An Affair With Tea

You might have the best day of your life and still feel less happy. The idea that you can have more better days ruins the moment. You should cherish the presence   the beauty which you have created, experienced or someone delivered it to you.

But we get caught in the process of kicking around the bush and let pass the moment and stay low with our emotions.

Not with the morning tea.
Every morning   you wake up with the stress of the work ahead. The rest of the last night don’t seem enough for the huge responsibility which needs to be done ahead. You somehow grab yourself from the bed and go to do the regular chores   the bed making, showering and getting ready.

It all seems to be boring and sometimes it is. But the morning tea is something which doesn’t mind you. It comes to you like a birthday surprise every time. You know it is coming but you play like you don’t.

You anticipate the moment and then tell everyone you need one badly. You take a sip of it and boom your day is transformed from the boring one to the energetic one which lets you explore, cry and be happy. This is the feeling you want to wake up everyday.

The sweetness of the tea, the flavor of all the extra ingredients and the warm feeling when you hold it ,  it is all surreal. You don’t want to miss the moment. You take the sip and voila  it is magic each and every time.

Sometimes back when you were kid you worried about all the things that would make you happy  the playful time, the rides at water park and the chocolates. Growing up and doing the same thing every day you realized there is only tea which can come in every day knocking and you will open the door each day.

Of course the tea don’t have to be of the same flavor  you can add your twist and then make the game a lot more interesting. A few mornings   works like magic and rest in anticipation of magic. Morning tea is the best thing that has happened to the world after the sliced bread  or is it?

For all of you who have an affair with tea, it is probably the best thing.

6 ways to improve your relationship

Relationships are hard. It can be tough, stressful and has the best ability to get on our nerves. But stress must not get the best of ours. A wrong step in a relationship creates four more to lurk into to break it off forever. But following these tips, you can create a healthy relationship of yours.

1. It always feels good to know that your partner loves you now as always. A simple 'how you doing' message or breakfast in bed can mean more than you think. It is the small things that make you feel special. You don't have to arrange a lavish meal or something very exclusive. A flower bouquet after coming home can refresh your mood as well as the relationship.

2. Be ready to give up for your partner. They are your well-wishers. But it is important to know that they also need some attention. You can't take them for granted and go along in your career path. It's not always rainbows and butterflies, it's the compromise that moves two people along. So learn what's important for you. If it is something you don't feel like you should give up, consult with your partner first. After all, your decision will be affecting both of you.

3. Speak up. If there's something you don't like, talk with your partner about it. Be polite and calm about it. And also encourage your partner to do the same. A couple that has said together for 50years has said that there was not a single day when they've gone to bed with displeasure between them. Whatever has happened, they've talked their way out of it.

4. Learn to accept your faults. Disable your defense mechanism. if you have done something wrong, learn to take the blame for it. Rather than being aggressive about your fault and trying to deny it, accept it politely. No person is perfect. Exercise forgiveness between yourselves. Quarreling over how you're not wrong when you are can hurt the other more than it shows. It is always better to give up the ego and accept that you're at fault.

5. Engage yourself with your partner's family. Try to remember the small details. Arrange dinners and weekends with them. Remember and arrange something special for birthdays and anniversaries. Take their responsibility as much as you take your own families'. Be sensitive about your partners family problems. Learn to sympathize. Try to help them sort out. Maintain a healthy relationship with your in-laws.

6. The last and most important one: Give them space. Don't spy on what they're doing. And also don't expect them to tell you all the little details about their work. Each one of us has a personal life. Always interfering in that space might not be a good idea. It is good to be open for advice. But advice must be given when asked for. 6 Best Tips to Travel in Europe

Wanna experience more joy in life? Travel more. We don’t mean taking vacations or going on pre-planning trips, we mean making the journey out to somewhere you’ve never gone before with an open schedule, to let life show you what opportunities were waiting for you that you couldn’t have even imagined before. Traveling in wonderful in many ways. And if you are planning to make Europe your next destination. Here are some tips for you to make this journey more enjoyable, more affordable or more convenient!

1. Choose the Off Season to visit:
If you wanna visit Europe try to avoid the months of June, July and August. Because Europe can be a mess in peak-travel season, with crowds and queues lining up in Paris and London. Even you have to fight large lines and crowds to see the Mona Lisa or the Sistine Chapel in these months. Moreover, Europeans themselves also go somewhere else during this time. So to get a real feel on what locals are like in your destination, visit cusp-season- early spring or in the fall!

2. Choose a Smaller City to Stay:
You can choose Girona near Barcelona, Bologna near Florence to stay and they are just a short train ride from the main city. Try to avoid large cities like Rome, Paris, London or Amsterdam as those all can be overrun with tourists. So it will be difficult to blend in and speak with locals. On the other hand small cities are usually quieter and run at a slower pace, allowing you to enjoy yourself with less pressure. It will be easy for you to get more accommodations in the form of apartment rentals.

3. Try to Stay Central and Walk:
Choosing a cheap hotel in the suburbs is not always a good option, because it’s not always worthy. Taking into account the transportation to and from the city, or the hassle of trying to find a restaurant in a residential area— sleeping far from downtown can be a real pain. So we’ll suggest to book a moderate place in or near the city center. You’ll be able to reach the main sights and find cafes and restaurants with no trouble at all. Plus, you’ll see more of the city if you’re walking around rather than taking the metro or a bus.

4. Meet new People:
Smile and be open to people. Talk with street vendors, shopkeepers, bar patrons, even people staying at your hostel. Don’t be shy. There’s no better way to meet locals and like-minded travelers than striking up a conversation. You may end up meeting some lifelong friends!

5. Choose Train to Travel:
Don’t think that travelling in train is always the cheapest option. Rather many trains are more expensive than air travel in Europe, but the comfort makes all the different. Europeans love their trains because it is more spacious, comfortable, and easier than air travel depending on your end destination. Mostly there is no hassle of a long queue and you can buy your ticket minutes before departure. You can also download a rail planner app where you can track schedules and buy tickets and make the travel even easier.

6. Think about Airlines too:
Keep in mind that Europe has dozens of cheap airlines that fly from city to city at minimal cost. For example you can fly from Dublin to Warsaw, or Barcelona to Amsterdam for under $100, and usually cheaper than train tickets depending on the distance. So we think that budget airlines are destiny’s gift for the mindful traveler.
We hope that these tips will make your travel easier if that is Europe.
